GEOGRAPHICAL PROFILE:-
Bhopal is a capital of the
Indian state of Madhya Pradesh & the administrative
headquarters of Bhopal district & Bhopal division the
city was the capital of the former Bhopal state.
Bhopal is also known as the Lake City (or city of
lake) for its various natural as well as artificial
lakes & is one of the greenest cities in India. The is
home to the rich cultural heritage & has practically
everything; innumerable monuments, large plateau,
spectacular mountain range, meandering river & miles
& miles of dense forests offering a unique & exciting
panorama of wildlife in sylvan surroundings.
Bhopal the capital of
Madhya Pradesh is a district of hills & lake covering
an area of 6902 Sq. miles is located in the north
western part of Madhya Pradesh, in the central region
of India. This district was formed in the year 1956 it
lays along slopes of send stone ridge, which is a part
of the Malwa plateau. It lays between latitude 23.070’&
23.540 north & longitude 77.120
& 77.400 east. There are two man- mode
lakes of the center of the city. Guna, Rajgarh, Sehore
Raisen & Vidisha bond the district.
Bhopal is located in the
central part of India it’s just north of the upper
limit of the vindhya mountain ranges Bhopal is a hilly
(elevation 498m.) but hot area located on the Malwa
plateau. It is higher then the north Indian plains &
the lands rise towards the Vindhya Range to the south
the summers are hot & the winters moderately cold it
rains moderately during the rainy season.
