Distinct Institute of Education & Training Bhopal was established in the district Headquarter Bhopal  on 10/07/1989.

It was established to cater to the needs of elementary teachers of the district  for improving the quality of elementary education. At preset the institute is organising workshops. orientation programmes, training etc. involving school teachers, NGOS and community  leaders It is also conducting regular classes for In service as well as preservice teachers. Time to time. it also undertakes academic monitoring of the elementary schools in the district.
